For over 50 years, A Community Christmas has collected mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and even sweatshirts and coats to help ensure that the less fortunate of Stark County, especially children, are kept warm during the winter months. More than 31 local businesses, churches, banks, libraries and other organizations participated last year, collecting 6,747 items! All donated items were distributed to Community Health Clinics and Shelters, as well as Canton City, Plain Local Schools and through ACC’s Giving Center. We are incredibly thankful to all of those that support the Mitten Tree Program, especially the North Canton Library and Trinity United Church of Christ for being collection sites.
